Sales Careers In The Printing Industry

A print sales representative goes out and finds print jobs for the company.  In order to do that they must be outgoing, confident and have good communications skills.  Through networking activities and marketing, a sales representative builds on-going relationships with people who have graphic communications needs and seeks out opportunities where the company can provide solutions.  The sales representative needs to be a team player too working with customer service, production workers and other staff to make sure the customers’ interest are being served.

Sales Manager/Team Leader -- Continual learning position. New leadership skills required. In addition to sales responsibilities, oversees management of sales process.
   Sales Executive -- Proven success in meeting and/or exceeding sales goals.
     Sales Representative -- Sells benefit and value of company product line meeting and/or exceeding customers requirements and expectations.
        Sales Account Representative -- Maintaining customer accounts while learning skills and function of sales representative responsibilities. Learn industry and how products can offer solutions to client.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Study how to plan, manage and close sales
  • Work cooperatively with management to set and achieve sales goals
  • Ask appropriate questions to uncover customer needs
  • Study basic lead generating techniques
  • Considered a "solutions-oriented" sales trainee position

  • Able to do basic arithmetic and math functions

Sales Account Representative

Summary

Maintaining customer accounts while learning skills and function of sales representative responsibilities. Learn industry and how products can offer solutions to client.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn the industry and how individual products of company can offer solutions to customers
  • Focus on learning who customers are, how to tap into new customers and how to maintain current ones
  • Call on established customers and generate new business while being involved in training

  • Excellent listening and follow-up skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills
  • Pays careful attention to detail

Sales Representative

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for prospecting and closing new business as well as maintaining and renewing existing business by fostering client relationships.
  • Create relationships with customers to build buyer dedication and allegiance
  • Build trust and credibility as a resource for customers
  • Anticipate customer needs and strive to meet them proactively
  • Generate new leads
  • Create new business from networks
  • Create effective solutions that inspire clients and meet their needs
